Inspired Word of God
We believe that the Bible, the Old and New Testaments, excluding the Apocrypha, is the inspired Word of God, the infallible and all-sufficient rule for faith and practice.
Welcome to Shekinah Church International
Shekinah Church International is a growing, cross-cultural Christian community in Lincoln where people from every nation are welcomed to worship, grow, serve, and belong. The Gospel is for all, without exception.
A place where every nation can belong.
A modern church community rooted in faith, hope, and love.
Today, Shekinah Church International is a growing multicultural community made up of people from more than 22 nationalities, worshipping and flourishing together by God’s grace.
The vision for Shekinah Church International began in 2011, when Pastor Sam moved to Lincoln and sought the Lord concerning his future in ministry.
Through a recurring vision of a tree bearing many different kinds of fruit, God revealed a calling to build a cross-cultural church, one spiritual home where people from many nations can worship, grow, and flourish together by His grace.
The Gospel is for all, without exception. Shekinah Church is a “Home for Nations,” a welcoming haven where people from all levels of society can find belonging, purpose and the love of Christ.
What We Believe
The Gospel is for All, Without Exception.
We believe that the Bible, the Old and New Testaments, excluding the Apocrypha, is the inspired Word of God, the infallible and all-sufficient rule for faith and practice.
We believe in the unity of the One True and Living God, who is the Eternal, Self-Existent “I AM,” revealed as one Being co-existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in salvation through faith in Christ, who, according to the Scriptures, died for our sins, was buried and was raised from the dead on the third day. Through His blood, we have redemption.
We believe that all who have truly repented and believed in Christ as Lord and Saviour are commanded to be baptised by immersion in water.
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an enduement of the believer with power for service, with the biblical evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

We believe that the future of our church community and the strength of our faith depends on the next generation. Therefore, we are committed to investing in our youth, giving them a sense of ownership, and preparing them to carry the torch of leadership into the future. Our objective is to empower our Sunday school and Youth, to lead lives that are rich in faith, equipped with the tools needed to navigate the complexities of life, and ready to continue the work of building God's Church.
We are that Church seeks to be contextually relevant, time, people, and place, and a powerful expression of the Church to the community. In our local expression of church and our corporate identity as a whole, we are committed to transforming communities by reaching out to all individuals regardless of age, or race. We hold convictions that we exist for the community and strive to be a "Home for Nations", a welcoming haven where people from all levels of society can find belonging, purpose, and the love of Christ.
At Shekinah Church, we believe God loves all people and desires a personal relationship with each one of us. We are called not only to believe but to belong. The Bible says we are put together, joined together, built together, members together, heirs together and we will be caught up together. In this family, every member is valued and every gifting is celebrated.
